Newbury Building Society are looking for a Treasury Officer - ALM (Asset Liability Management) to join their small and supportive Treasury team. Full training will be provided as you develop your understanding of the legislative, regulatory and financial framework in which the Society operates, and build upon your knowledge of the financial markets. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of people from Treasury and Finance as well as direct exposure to the Assets & Liabilities Committee and senior management. Your main day to day activities will be to support the Treasury Manager in the management of the Society’s liquidity, wholesale funding, interest rate positions and treasury and ALM-related projects. **Essential criteria**: - Ability to interpret mathematical information and understand trends - Well organised; able to plan and take ownership for your workload - Curiosity and ability to problem solve - Strong IT skills: Word and Excel - A level or equivalent **Desirable criteria**: - Willingness to study for relevant Accounting or Treasury-related qualification - General Understanding of the Financial Services industry - Proficient excel user
