Charlie House supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, across the north-east of Scotland. The goal is simple - to help children to live as full lives as possible and help make precious memories for the whole family at the most difficult of times.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Fundraising and Marcomms team at Charlie House, for an enthusiastic, organised, self-starter to join us as Corporate Fundraiser. This post will play a key role in helping Charlie House raise vital income so that local children and families can get the support they need and driving forward our Big Build Appeal to create a specialist care centre in Aberdeen for children, providing much needed respite, palliative and end-of-life care in the region.

Reporting to the Corporate Fundraising Manager, the post-holder will have responsibility for proactively engaging and securing new partnerships with SME’s and organisations to raise income for Charlie House and providing a high level of account management and stewardship to the existing Charlie House corporate partners to support in maximising fundraised income and delivering agreed fundraising targets.

**Hours**-Full Time (37.5 hours per week over 5 days) or Part Time (30 hours per week over 4 days) with some unsocial hours

**Location**

Charlie House HQ, Aberdeen, with some requirement to travel offsite in the North-east

**Reports to**

Corporate Fundraising Manager

**Role purpose**
- Proactively engage and secure new partnerships and support with SMEs and companies to raise income for Charlie House
- Provide a high level of account management and stewardship to existing corporate partners to maximise fundraised income
- Deliver agreed fundraising targets for existing and new business corporate partnerships

**Responsibilities**

**Main Duties**
- Identify, engage, and secure corporate partnerships and financial support for Charlie House
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business prospects
- Develop and deliver powerful partnership ideas, pitches and tailored proposals
- Provide a high level of account management through planned engagement, stewardship, and effective and regular communications
- Ensure each corporate partner is appropriately supported and reaches its full potential, through sponsorship, staff-led fundraising, event participation, and donations.
- To be the main contact for relationships with existing and potential corporate partners
- Manage current relationships with Charlie House corporate supporters
- Support on the development and management of new corporate partners, as assigned by the Corporate Fundraising Manager
- Attend networking meetings
- Present to potential and existing corporate partners for support
- Attend cheque presentations / ceremonies when required for corporate donations

**Other**
- Assist the Corporate Fundraising Manager as required
- Collaborate with the wider fundraising and Charlie House team to identify and present sponsorship opportunities or potential projects to corporate partners
- Ensure regulatory compliance with internal policy and external legislation, practices and policies, including GDPR
- Utilise the CRM Salesforce to support fundraising activity - training will be given
- Utilise project management tools including Asana - training will be given.

- The role sits within the Corporate Fundraising function
- The corporate function sits within the wider Fundraising and Marcomms team
- The post holder will work collaboratively across departments including but not restricted to Community and Events fundraising, Grants and Trusts, Marcomms, Services, Volunteering and Finance

**Financial Dimension**
- The post holder will be responsible for delivering agreed income targets annually
- Delivery of personal objectives and achievement of outcomes and key performance indicators

**Other Considerations**
- You may be required to occasionally work out with normal office hours to attend meetings or events. You may also be required to travel throughout the North-east although expenses are covered and time off in lieu is given.
- Promotion of Charlie House is an integral part of the role, and as such, you may be required to feature in our magazine, articles, website and social media.

- Proven track record of delivering against objectives and key results
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Research and analytical skills to identify prospective donors
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to think creatively, identifying opportunities for increased engagement among existing donors and prospects, and deepening their connection to the cause
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to vehicle for work use
