Forklift Operator

**FULL-TIME FORKLIFT OPERATOR - £11.51 per hour plus overtime premium**

Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and prepared potatoes.

We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.

Due to expansion we are looking to add a new member to an already successful team.

**About The Role**

Forklift operating activities include safely moving and handling potato boxes, pallets and other associated materials:

- Loading and offloading lorries;
- Store work, stock rotation, stock control;
- Tipping production line with product and using handheld scanners to record.
- Accurately calculating figures, recording information, data entry and using a handheld scanner - taking accountability and ownership for paperwork and computerised checks of goods in and out
- Working within quality, health and safety guidelines and food safety standards; General production duties.
- Similar duties (e.g. despatch) as and when required
- Current forklift license required

Full-time hours - 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 6, Monday to Saturday (Day Shift)

Successful applicants will be offered:

- £11.51 per hour (Grade A payrate)
- Time and a half for overtime
- 33 days paid holiday per year

**Required Criteria**
- Qualification or licence to operate a counterbalance forklift truck (expired licence accepted, training provided)
- Forklift operating experience
- Good basic standard of literacy and numerical skills
- Prepared to use a scanner and enter data (full training provided)
- Able to work accurately and with attention to detail in a fast-paced working environment
- Good communication and organisational skills, able to work as a team and on own initiative
- Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom

**Desired Criteria**
- Good general awareness of food hygiene, health & safety and quality aspects
- Valid up to date counterbalance forklift licence/qualification desirable but not essential
