Storeperson/delivery Driver

Aylings Garden Centre is seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Storeman / Delivery Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our garden centre, including managing inventory, organizing stock, and delivering products to our valued customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of products
- Organize and maintain inventory levels, including stock rotation and restocking shelves
- Assist customers in locating and selecting products, providing exceptional customer service
- Operate delivery vehicles to transport products to customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, and products are handled with care
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill customer orders and provide support as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store and delivery areas
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of local roadways and traffic regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for inventory management

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a garden centre or retail environment
- Familiarity with gardening and horticultural products
- Forklift certification
