Yard Operative

**Summary of the role**

**To assist the site team with the day-to-day upkeep of the welfare facilities including generators and general site housekeeping. Taking of deliveries, and escorting delivery drivers / vehicles along with other tasks as and when requested by the site manager**

**Duration**
**6 month rolling contract on a 2 year project**

**Job Duties**
**Work closely with the site management team to ensure that safe and effective delivery of the project**
**To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively**
**To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team**
**To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions**

**Requirements**:
**Minimum Qualifications**

**Full UK driving licence**
**CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport**

**Desirable**:
**Previous experience in a substation environment**
**SSEN Cat 1**
**CPCS Vehicle banksman**

**Physical Requirements**

**Must have the ability to safely manoeuvre around a construction site including uneven and rough terrain on foot for a minimum of 10 hours per day.**

**For the office element they must have the ability to use repetitive hand motion and the ability to grasp and type using general office equipment.**

**Must be able to sit for long periods of time, talk, hear, walk and stand. Must be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds.**

**Schedule and Work Activities**

**50 hours per week, based on 5 x 10 hour days with travel to client or BMcD offices/sites**

**Travel**

**The induvial should be able to book and arrange all of their own travel and accommodation**

**Rate**

**£15 per hour Mon - Friday all hours**
**£18.75 per hour Saturday all hours**
**£21 per hour Sunday all hours**

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

Pay: Up to £21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

- Driving Licence (required)
- CSCS Card (required)
