**The company**

This role is working for a branded food manufacturer that produces delicious products to the strictest quality and hygiene standards.

**About the Technical Manager job**

You will ensure compliance with all food safety, legality, and quality requirements, including BRC, HACCP, Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices to enable the business to deliver outstanding performance against all customer productand process expectations.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure the QMS is maintained and kept up to date.
- Ensure the BRC accreditation is maintained to at least a Grade A standard.
- Ensure the food safety, legality and quality of finished goods and continually challenge and improve the system.
- Oversee and maintain the HACCP function to ensure products are manufactured safely and to customer specifications.
- Manage all day-to-day quality issues.
- Implement, maintain, and improve technical KPIs in line with customer requirements to ensure the highest Customer Audit levels.
- Ensure clarity of site hygiene standards, ensure they are met, and carry out hygiene audits.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Ensure the business is proactive in implementing best practice, advising on any legislative changes across the product ranges.

**About You**
- Strong food industry technical/quality assurance track record, ideally at a senior level.
- Ideally educated to a degree level in a Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
- Excellent understanding of BRC requirements.
- HACCP, Food Safety, Food Hygiene qualified to intermediate level preferred.

**More details**

The Technical Manager job is based in Devon and is paying £40,000 according to your experience. There is also a possibility for hybrid working.

The working hours are Monday to Friday.
