**Sliding Head Setter - Fixed Head and Sliding Head Lathes**

**£15-17 per hr**

**The Opportunity**

Due to expansion of the business, we are looking for a CNC Setter to join our sliding head team.

We are a fast-paced manufacturing environment offering a huge range of fastener and non standard precision components to our customers which are all manufactured in house by our experienced engineers.

**Is this right for you?**

As CNC Setter you will be responsible for
- Setting and operating of Citizen Sliding Head lathes which include L20’s, L32’s (LFV).
- Setting and operating of Miyano Fixed Head lathes using the fanuc system.
- Programming new jobs from existing program templates.
- Changing of tips, tools, drills and inserts.
- Measuring parts to engineering drawings using tools such as Venier Calipers, micrometers, ring gauges and shadowgraphs
- Following the production job card system.
- Working with other departments to facilitate production.
- Extensive Sliding Head experience within the fastener sector
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of technical engineering drawings.
- A knowledge of working with different metals and working with tight tolerances
- The ability to program machines in G-code for the most efficient cycle times and efficiencies on tooling.

All parts are bespoke, made to order, and our operation boasts round the clock lights out manufacturing using CNC sliding head lathes. CNC milling, thread rolling, pressing and specialised drilling are just some of our other services. We can offer solutions for components which are incredibly difficult to source or needed at very short lead times in all quantities.
- Hours - 7am-4pm Mon to Friday
- 34 days annual leave

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
