Client Summary:
Our client is a market leader and well established business within the rolling stock restoration and manufacturing sector. They are looking for individuals who want are looking to join a busy workshop with a growing business.
Position Summary:
This role would require individuals to weld packers and central stands into refurbished freight wagons. Requiring knowledge and experience of positional MIG welding, such as Vertical Up - fillet and butt joints. This role will include all the weld preparationand final weld work. Including all the metal prep, cleaning and completing the final weld to a high standard - which is to be visually inspected.
Essential Experience:

- Previous positional welding experience - MIG / TIG
- Able to complete all preparation work
- Be able to complete Test bars (codings) to meet the requirements of the role - (MIG on Mild Steel)
- Be able to work safely in an industrial environment
- Be able to follow written work instructions
- Ability to set and use welding equipment
- Must be time served and apprentice trained Welder (NVQ, City & Guilds, ETC)
Desirable Experience:

- Previous coded welding experience
- Large industrial welding experience
- Rail experience
