Assembly Engineer Job Description

Location: Offord Cluny, St Neots

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Engineer to join our fast-growing team based in Offord Cluny. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to assemble and test high-quality products while contributing to process improvements and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

- **Assembly Operations**: Assemble components and systems according to technical drawings, manuals, guides and work instructions.
- **Quality Assurance**: Inspect parts and assemblies for defects or deviations from specifications. Ensure all products meet safety and quality standards.
- **Tool Usage**: Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment required for assembly.
- **Testing**: Conduct functional tests on assembled systems & sub-assemblies to verify performance and reliability.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to workplace safety standards, including the safe handling of electrical components and gas systems.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the team and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
- **Documentation**: Follow all processes to maintain accurate records of assembly operations, test results, and quality checks.

What we are looking for:

- Proven experience as an assembler or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and assembly instructions.
- _Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, or gas systems is _**preferred**_ _but not required._
- _Basic understanding of safety regulations related to electrical and gas systems is _**desirable**_ _but not required._
- Health and safety conscious.

Qualifications / Education:

- Minimum GCSE level education required.
- FLT License is _**desirable but not required.**_
- Any additional electrical / mechanical qualifications are _**desirable but not required.**_
