**JOB - Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services**
**LOCATION- Bristol**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)**My client manufactures a range of products for a range of different industries. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a creative and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their office in Bristol.
**The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
- Experience in client facing roles, attending client meetings
- Ability to design and deliver projects to a high quality, from concept to completion
- Working knowledge and good understanding of all other Building Services disciplines
- Knowledge / experience with Regulatory Compliance / ISO Certifications is crucial
- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical / electrical, physics or Building Services or similar
- Knowledge with CAD software - AutoCAD, Solidworks
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) - ability to write reports and delegate tasks
- Be keen to develop with a company long term and manage Junior Design Engineers
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

**The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve**:

- Leading the design, planning and coordination of a variety of projects
- Managing the full product lifecycle
- Working with design teams including architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants
- Attending site visits to inspect building services installations
- Producing 3D designs using CAD software
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced members of the team
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
