Grab Wagon Driver

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working order, addressing any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with yard staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling of items during transport.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Maintaining yard & distributing materials to sites will be included within this role - this involves some manual handling.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Driver with a valid commercial driving licence.
- Familiarity with building site operations and logistics is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred to assist with basic vehicle maintenance.
- Previous experience as a beaver tail, skip/grab wagon driver is essential.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Mechanical/plant repair experience Is desired.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 46.5 per week
