We are seeking an inspirational **Lead Practitioner in Science** to join our team.

We are looking for someone who still really loves teaching and is not looking to step out of the classroom. As well as team teaching with others to aid their development, you will have at least a 50% timetable of your own. Therefore, this will suit someone who wants to take on a leadership opportunity, without stepping away from the classroom. It will however very much broaden your own experience as we have pupils from 3-18 across our Trust.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

- Be a teacher with a proven track record of securing sustained excellent outcomes.
- Be proficient in teaching Science to Grade 9 at GCSE.
- Have a highly effective style that is both consultative and influential.
- Has been a mentor for ITT or ECT.
- Be able to demonstrate resilience, motivation, and commitment to driving up standards of achievement.
- Understand that behaviour management starts with the quality of teaching in the classroom.
- Be able to work across a group of schools and show significant impact in developing capacity and improving outcomes for young people.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES:

- To support the development of science teaching across the trust. You will do this through.
- Assisting in the development of trainee teachers.
- Team-teaching classes with developing teachers.
- Modelling excellent practice through your own teaching classes - having an open door for all to come and watch your curriculum implementation.
