**The London Clinic located in Central London. These are 4 month rotations, with a non-resident rota of 44 hours per week (Monday to Friday).**
The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, where we pride ourselves on our values, and putting the patient at the heart of everything we do. We have a total of 8 premises, and state-of-the-art facilities where we perform highly complex procedures as well as routine surgery and medicine, but you will be working in the 2 main buildings (connected by an underground corridor). Our consultants are leaders in their respective fields; most are also affiliated to leading university hospitals in London, which makes this a unique opportunity to develop your skills and be part of a dedicated and forward-thinking team.
You will be joining a team of 4 Resident Fellows (RMOs) who provide 24/7 provision for the all the non-cancer non haematology beds, alongside the non resident general fellows.
You will be working also with other non
- resident general fellows and will, between you, cover specific ward areas such that all patients are provided with regular review (usually 2 wards).
The cancer and haematology service is by 4 other Non-Resident Fellows (5 FTE in total) who work Mon-Fri. The Oncology provision is provided by a team 4 Resident Oncology Fellows, supported by Non-Resident medical staff - 2 oncology and 3/4 haematology working Mon
- Fri.
There is also resident cover provided with an Intensive Care Fellow
As a Non-Resident Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellow, you will provide on-site medical support to admitting Consultants, Clinicians and Nursing Staff and ensuring that our Plastics, Aesthetics and Reconstructive patients experience the highest level of care and service at The London Clinic.
- Job Type: Full-Time, 4 month rotations with possibility of further extension. Part time roles are also available.
- Hours/Shifts: WTE is 44 hours per week, including 4 hours CPD

- Salary: From £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- To be responsible for the care of patients undergoing reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, liaising closely with referring relevant consultant
- To be responsible for non-cancer / non-haematology patients admitted to L2 DDW, review daily and support re fluids / antibiotics and contacting consultants if required and documentation.
- To attend fellow / RMO meetings, M&M meetings and contribute to Datix reviews and M&M presentations if requested
- To be involved in the clinical teaching of nursing staff and RMOs as required on an informal and ongoing basis.
- To provide care to patients in other areas of TLC if requested by the Modern Matron / clinical site manager / MD or divisional clinical director.
- To contribute to audit, Quality Improvement workstreams.
- To attend multidisciplinary team meetings to maintain an awareness of clinical matters relating to Plastic surgery and other specialities within The London Clinic
- To ensure all staff are aware of administrative and training matters, this post holder is required to attend all the RMO and Clinical Assistant meetings, even when not on duty. These meeting are held 12 times a year.
- To attend Journal Club and Grand rounds as available.
- Participate in ward rounds, meetings and user groups within specialities which occur during normal working hours as necessary.
- Involved in the clinical teaching of nursing staff and RMOs as required on an informal and ongoing basis.
- To ensure safe high-quality care is delivered across The London Clinic (TLC)
- Attend and lead 8 am safety huddle between RMOs, fellows
- Ensure non-resident fellows hand over any patients of concern when they leave the site.
