Our HR apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and a qualification whilst getting paid. We will support you through your CIPD Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship, with a view to developing a long-term career within our HR Team.

As a HR Apprentice you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment undertaking a range of HR-related administrative tasks which includes:

- Dealing with HR queries and requests in a timely manner via the HR Inbox or central phone line
- Re-setting employee portal passwords.
- Logging and scanning returned paperwork such as Return to works, sick notes etc.
- Supporting with the monthly payroll checks and queries.
- Maintaining electronic employee files
- Process incoming references
- Maintaining the HR Database/System with up to date and accurate information
- Processing new starter paperwork and contracts and leavers
- Learning and development administrative support.
- As you develop through your apprenticeship; you’ll be providing 1st line advice and guidance to line managers

The role is Monday - Friday; 37.5 hours a week. (3 days office based/2 days hybrid after completion of initial training)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Human Resources team in our Head Office in Birchwood Park, Warrington. If you have recently left school or college and looking for an alternative to further education; or looking for your first step on the career ladder within HR, this apprenticeship offers an excellent career path. If you have the skills below, we would love to hear from you:

- Ideally, you’ll have your Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE certificates A*- C or 4 - 9 or equivalent in English and Maths
- IT literate and confident at using a computer / laptop
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work alone without constant direction
- Conscientious about your work
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Enjoys being part of a team
- Commitment to your own learning and development
- You’ll be working closely with the wider HR Team, so if you enjoy interacting with people this will be perfect for you
