**Job Role: Support Worker - Indian Punjabi Speaking**

**Hours: Part time - before and after school**

**Pay: £13 weekdays**

**£15 weekends**

**Personal Care Involved**

**Core hours on a shift basis**:
Term Time:
Mornings 6/7-8am

Evenings 3-6pm

School Hols: 9am - 2pm

Saturday: 9am - 2pm

**Essential Criteria**:
Fluent Indian Punjabi and English

Full driving license

Care work experience

**Background**:
*D is a contented 10yr old boy who lives in the family home with his parents and older brother. *D loves his body massages, books, Punjabi cartoons, and sensory play. *D has an acquired brain injury, starting a new special school in September, he uses a wheelchair, hoist and is non-verbal. Full training will be given for this job.

A full team of therapists work with him including SALT, OT, and Physio, you will work closely with them and mum to follow their programmes.

The hours are flexible and can be worked around the support workers commitments.

Your role will be to support *D before and after school, weekends, provide personal care, and assist mum at mealtimes and bedtimes.

This job will suit someone who enjoys spending 1:1 quality time with a child, fluent in Indian Punjabi and English, and a driver who will be provided with a car when on duty.
