Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Chatham, Kent

Reports To: Managing Director / Senior Revit Technician

Company Overview: BIMlogix MEP are Specialists in 3D MEP Modularisation and prefabrication. We use all of the latest industry software to ensure clash free full MEP coordinated models, as well as complete prefabricated strategies and design of pipework and multi service systems.

Job Purpose: The Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing and organizing all project-related documentation, ensuring that our 3D MEP designs and prefabricated components are accurately documented and easily accessible. This role is vital for maintaining compliance with industry standards and supporting project teams in delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Document Management:

- Develop and maintain a structured document control system tailored to the needs of 3D MEP modularization and prefabrication projects.
- Ensure all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and installation manuals, is accurately classified, stored, and updated.

2. Coordination and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to gather, organize, and distribute documentation related to projects.
- Facilitate communication regarding document revisions and updates across departments.

3. Quality Control:

- Review and verify the accuracy and quality of documents prior to distribution, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of documentation to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

4. Training and Support:

- Provide training to staff on document control processes and best practices relevant to 3D MEP and prefabrication workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for document-related inquiries and troubleshooting.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and quality standards specific to MEP modularization and prefabrication.
- Prepare and maintain reports on document management activities and project documentation status.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in document control, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail, particularly in technical documentation.
- Proficiency in document management software such as Smartsheet, Autodesk Docs and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards related to MEP systems and prefabrication.
- Experience in project management or engineering environments.

Pay: £12.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Flexitime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
