**About the Team**:
MarketWatch provides real-time business news, analysis and stock market data to the general public. Providing insight into what the news of the moment means for your money, empowering you to take control of financial decisions.

This role will be based out of our London office.

**You Will**:

- Cover breaking business news with speed, accuracy, and insightful analysis.
- Write engaging stories focused on U.S. equities, offering fresh angles beyond standard reporting.
- Quickly identify key developments and provide context to help readers understand major market events.
- Use digital storytelling tools such as FAQs, charts, and other formats to make news digestible and engaging.
- Leverage audience insights to craft stories that perform well digitally and drive engagement.
- Maintain clean, polished writing while working in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance coverage and share insights.
- Pursue opportunities to write longer, deeply reported features and analytical pieces.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the U.S. stock market and broader business trends.
- Value teamwork and a collaborative approach.

**You Have**:

- At least 3 years experience working as a reporter at a national or trade business news publication
- The ability to generate quick angles and strong ideas off the news and meet urgent deadlines.
- Familiarity with corporate balance sheets, financial valuations and investing principles.
- Familiarity with U.S. markets and companies.
