**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a Mechanical & Piping bias Construction Superintendent to support us, initially on a circa 6-month PSC contract basis, based at our Saltend Chemical Parks site in Hull, reporting to the Senior Construction Manager and alongside the wider Construction Management Team.

**Major Duties**:

- Provide total task ownership in relation to Contractors field construction activities
- Promote Life Saving Rules and Behavioural Safety Engagements
- Coordinate/screen site technical queries
- Input into the generation and coordinate the resolution of NCR's
- Good understanding of industry specific legislation
- Detailed knowledge and experience of managing and coordinating Construction Contractors acting as Principal Contractor (CDM 2015)
- Support Construction Contractor pre-mobilisation pre-requisites including RAMS peer review, Schedule and Competency assessment and Permit to Work coordination.
- Conduct active and measurable HSSE and Quality surveillance
- Provide regular progress updates including input into the construction schedule.
- Identify HSSE, Quality, Schedule or Cost related risk (change management)
- Support quality assurance and completions activities, keep accurate construction activity logs
- Support construction reviews including: meetings, workshops, schedule and estimate development
- Support tender bid evaluations and lessons learnt processes.
