**Role - Welder **Key Accountabilities**: - Welding different materials, mainly Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel. Thicknesses >3mm. - Welding using different welding processes, mainly FCAW and TIG. - Welding butts and fillets to a high standard in varying positions. - Working from detailed engineering drawings. - Adhering to weld procedures and relevant quality procedures. - Self-inspection of all welds. - Adhering to all HSE related standards associated with welding. **Qualifications /Experience Required / Person Attributes**: - Relevant Time Served Qualification in Welding or Minimum 3 years shop floor experience. Essential - Welding ability: FCAW & TIG in down hand (PA) and vertical (PF) positions. - MIG/MAG solid wire experience will be considered in leu of FCAW experience. - Able to pass welder qualification tests to BS EN ISO 9606 for FCAW & TIG. - Experienced in welding of carbon steel and stainless steel. Thicknesses >3mm. - Use of power tools in the back grinding and dressing of welds. - Use of welding tools and equipment. - Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work to meet acceptance standards. - Ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols. - Ability to read and interpret weld procedures. - Knowledge of safety precautions and risks associated with tasks. - Experience with working from route cards & weld maps. - Desirable Heavy engineering experience. - Desirable **TSP Engineering**: Located on Britain's Energy Coast we employ over 200 people and operate from one of the largest and most comprehensively equipped workshops in the UK.
