You would assist with providing scientific secretarial support to the MSSG and/or MDSSG, management and support of the EU SPOC and i-SPOC systems for medicines and/or medical devices, and case management of shortages of CAPs. This is an exciting opportunityto join an institution that provides a truly international working environment where everyone is passionate about public health.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Facilitate the coordination of the implementation of the new legal mandate of EMA in the area of medicinal products and/or medical devices shortages;
- Provide scientific secretariat to the Executive Steering Group on Shortages and Safety of Medicinal Products and/or the Executive Steering Group on medical devices;
- Monitor any events which may lead to a major event or a public health emergency, and which may affect the supply of medicinal products and/or medical devices;
- Manage and support the EU network and industry network of single point of contacts (SPOC Network and i-SPOC), and monitor and analyse the data on shortages with view to identifying any potential or actual shortages of medicinal products and/or medical devices;
- Regular professional contacts with others inside and/or outside the Agency on functional matters including relevant stakeholders.
**Profile**:
- University studies of at least 3 years in scientific or technical discipline;
- Up to 3 years of full-time relevant professional experience;
- Prior experience with the management of shortages of medicines and supporting scientific/technical working parties and/or expert groups;
- Experience with liaison activities with pharmaceutical industry and European Medicines Regulatory Network preferably in the areas of shortages prevention and management;
- Experience in medical devices sector would be an additional benefit;
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills and experience dealing with stakeholders;
- Fluency in English and at least one other EU language -Spanish, Czech, Danish, German, Estonian, English, French, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Slovakian, Finnish, Swedish, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian,Croatian, Norwegian, Icelandic
