**FULL TRAINING PROVIDED**
**SALARY**:£18,090 - £19,860 per annum + Sign-on Bonus + Sleep-ins + Benefits
**LOCATION**:Rugby, Warwickshire
**JOB TYPE**:Full-Time, Permanent - (Part time posts also available)
**WORKING HOURS**:35 hours per week - Day shifts and Sleep-in shifts available, you will be paid £50 per sleep-in

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker who is a good listener, empathetic, kind and patient with an interest in mental health and the desire to learn new skills.
Working as a Support Worker you will join a 7 bedded, 24 hour staffed nursing service offering rehabilitation and support to people with severe mental illness. Individuals can be supported to move on into more independent accommodation with the option ofmove on into a CQC registered Supported Living Service.
As a Support Worker you do not need previous work experience, the organisation will support you on your learning journey, helping you develop in the area of work.
The organisation offers the opportunity to visit the service to observe the work they do and talk about a day in the life of a Support Worker with the Service Manager - this gives you the opportunity to really explore the work they do as an organisationand insight of the work you will be part of.
**DUTIES**
Your role as a Support Worker will include:
- Helping with personal care
- Supporting with medication
- Providing encouragement with household tasks such as laundry, cooking and cleaning
- Supporting to learn new skills, achieve their dreams and ambitions
- Assisting people pursue their interests and hobbies
- Working with other mental health professionals and the family/friends of the person being supported

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity is highly desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding the ethos of recovery into your own practice
- The ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs
- QCF Diploma or NVQ level 3 in Care or Certificate in Community Mental Healthcare (or working towards) or an equivalent qualification
