To work in the Healthy Families Team in the delivery of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and Public Health Nursing Programme children in line with local and national public health priorities

To work in Gedling' s Healthy Families Team, provide a quality service to the local population, we are an integrated service, in partnership with the Children’s Centres, working with children and young people aged 0 - 19 and their families.

The team is a skill mixed team, taking leadership from Specialist Public Health Practitioners, providing a high standard of care, our staff receive a good training and induction package and enjoy a very friendly, supportive working environment. Business travel expenses are paid as appropriate

The role includes services to antenatal women, completion of the Healthy Child Programme for under 5s, enhanced programmes of care within school and community settings for the 5 -19 age group, breast feeding support and a strong element of leadership to the skill mix 0-19 cluster team.

We are using a hybrid working model, out and about as service needs dictate, home working when appropriate, an office desk is also available if preferred, appropriate equipment needed to work at home will be provided, come and join our team, we look forward to working with you soon.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

To undertake universal Healthy Child Programme checkpoint reviews, Tier One targeted interventions and public health interventions either 1:1 or groups, delegated by the Specialist Public Health Practitioner. Work as part of the Healthy Families Team to deliver 0-19 the Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme. To support the Specialist Public Health Practitioner in identifying level of need and delivery of targeted Tier One interventions eg. Sleep, behaviour, toilet training, healthy eating, emotional health and wellbeing. Work in partnership with other members of staff and teams, voluntary and statutory organisations in response to service user needs.
