Overview:
Purchasing is an important function within apetito, supporting the delivery of business strategy through cost and value control of the raw materials and goods and services we provide.

This is a fast paced environment responsible for the management of over 1,000 raw materials being delivered to the manufacturing site and more than 150 different supplier contracts. Your organisational skills and eye for detail will be important attributes to make this role a success.

You will support a team of 8 in the procurement department with administration and also help to coordinate activity and ensure processes are running smoothly.

This is an ideal position for someone looking to be part of a busy department in a high profile area of the business, adding value by making sure all business processes run smoothly thanks to your management of documentation and reporting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administration of various functions including contract management and pricing accuracy
- Dealing with invoice queries
- Keeping system and records up to date with correct information to ensure audit accuracy
- Co-ordinate the flow of information managed by the department to ensure accuracy and relevance is maintained
- Prepare reports to a senior level on the performance of the purchasing function
- Continually review and evaluate all digital procurement tools for efficiency in the procurement process
- Monitor and track supplier performance to aid the team in driving optimal efficiency

About you:
**Essential**
- GCSE (or equivalent) Math’s and English, grade 4 or above.
- Advance level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook packages
- Experience in finance or purchasing
- High degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem solving skills, able to work without instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Able to organise and plan a complex workload with multiple deadlines

**Desirable**
- Business studies qualification.
- Experience of working with an ERP system, SAP as a preference
