**Overview**
Join our team as a Quality Inspector at Tufcot, a leading company in the composite bearing solutions. We are dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all our products. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our quality assurance processes and upholding regulatory standards.

**Requirements**:

- To check set-ups, stage and final inspections of machined composite parts.
- Assist with integrating the Inspection Room processes with Production and Quality procedures.
- Maintain the Inspection room in a tidy, organised, and professional manner.
- The care and maintenance of all designated inspection micrometres and equipment.
- Calibrate micrometres in accordance with the set schedule.
- Carry out shop floor spot checks to ensure procedures are being followed.
- Support the non-conformance process as required when dimensional or quality issues are identified.
- Regulate and monitor the Inspection Room Temperature to maintain optimum temperature range.
- Implement and maintain any new monitoring procedures as agreed with the Management Team.
- To proactively look at improving existing procedures or introducing new approaches to inspection.
- To train, support and develop Support Inspectors and others who may need to learn and understand the inspection process.
- Liaise with Production and Quality department to ensure standards are maintained and production demands are achieved.
- To carry out such other duties as the Company may reasonably require with prior authority from a director.

**Management Information and Documentation**

To work with the Quality Manager and/or others when required to collate data and information for the Management Team. For example:
- Key Performance Information
- Reports on Failure to complete Job Card checks
- Any other information which relates to the areas covered above.

Take part in three monthly Supervision Meetings with the Quality Manager to discuss job role and any issues arising.

**Competencies**
- Experienced at carrying out dimensional checks of machined parts against sizes and features shown on machining drawings.
- Experienced in using the full range of measuring equipment such as Micrometres, Verniers, PI/Circumference tapes and CMM.
- Competent at carrying out the calibration, setting and maintenance of such equipment using Slip Gauges and setting rods.
- Experienced at operating PC-DMIS software on the CMM to take and record measurements as well as creating new measurement programs as required.
