JOB TITLE: In-house Real Estate Lawyer
PQE REQUIRED: 5+
LOCATION: London
THE ROLE: Our client is a specialist real estate developer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality developments in the office, student accommodation, care and private rented (“PRS”) sectors across the UK. The Group manages a development pipelineof assets spanning approximately 15 new developments each year. The annual gross development value is in the region of £285m, with project values ranging from £7m to £60m.
As the In-house Real Estate Lawyer you will provide the organisation with broad ranging, commercially focused legal support that will ultimately enable the success and growth of the Real Estate business, drive compliance and limit risk exposure.
Duties will include assisting the Group Chief Executive with all legal aspects connected with the acquisition and sale of land on behalf of the house building divisions within the Group - options, conditional contracts, unconditional contracts, regenerationagreements and joint ventures. You will also liaise with the wider property team including Head of Acquisitions, Head of Property, Head of Healthcare Development, Surveyors, Project Managers and Architectural Technicians, external agents and solicitors.
THE CANDIDATE: Ideal Real Estate Lawyers will have at least 5 years PQE in dealing with a broad spectrum of commercial property matters. You will have a proven track record in real estate gained in a large national or a reputable regional firm with a solidreal estate practice or otherwise from an in-house organisation. This role will suit an agile, entrepreneurial real estate lawyer who enjoys a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
