Gloagburn Farm Shop has an opportunity arising in January for an experienced Baker or Pastry chef to lead our small team in our purpose built bakery within the Farm Shop. You will be managing a small team of four bakers and reporting to the general manager and directors.
The successful applicant will have strong bakery or patisserie experience, great communication skills, and will be organised and self-motivated with good attention to detail. You will be working in a fast paced environment producing an extensive range of breads, biscuits, scones, tray bakes, cakes and desserts with an emphasis on local, seasonal produce. You will be responsible for daily and weekly production levels and will be involved in seasonal menu planning using well established Gloagburn recipe's as well as your own ideas and innovations.
Some supervisory or leadership experience would be an advantage, as would professional bakery qualifications, food hygiene / allergens certificate and any other relevant achievements.
Hours are 7am - 4pm, five days from seven.
Due to our rural location and shift patterns you will need access to your own transport.
**Salary**: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
