**Grange School is seeking four committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (Level 1 - SEN) to join our inclusive and nurturing learning community. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality education and support to children and young people with a wide range of complex needs.**
**These are permanent positions working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £21,662 and the full time equivalent is £25,185 Grade 3.**

** About the role**:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 1 SEN, you will work under the supervision of teaching staff and the senior leadership team to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils to become happy, confident and successful young adults.
** Key responsibilities include**:
- Supporting small groups of children and implementing Individual Learning Plans
- Assisting with supervision during teacher absence (short periods)
- Providing feedback on pupil progress and maintaining records
- Ensuring equal access to learning for all pupils
- Participating in relevant training and development
- Demonstrating commitment to performance management and continuous improvement
- Communicating effectively and professionally with pupils, staff, parents, and external agencies
** We're Looking for applicants who**:
- Have an understanding of the Teaching Assistant role and child development and learning
- Possesses strong literacy and numeracy skills (qualified to Level 2 or above)
- Works effectively as part of a team and is committed to high professional standards
- Is tactful, diplomatic, and able to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Has experience or a keen interest in working with children or young people with communication difficulties, severe, profound, or complex learning needs
- Can communicate clearly and confidently in spoken English

The Grange School in Levenshulme, Manchester, provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
