MBP is the UK’s leading independent stockist of doors from all major suppliers, and a market leading manufacturer of standard and bespoke fire doors, doorsets and glazed screens.

Rapid Fit, part of MBP Group, are seeking a Production Planner who will gain a full working understanding of the business including all aspects of planning, production and estimating. The Production Planner will have a proactive approach to the role, ensure all agreed customer orders are planned to be manufactured on time and in full where possible. Plan production to the maximum capacity requirement making sure the required quantities are reachable so production plans achieved. Monitor the weekly progress promptly and professional resolve any issues that may arise.

This position is suitable for experienced individuals wanting a new challenge, or those wanting to progress their career within the industry. Full and ongoing training will be provided throughout for the right applicant. Salary is dependant on experience.

This is a full time position for 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, but flexibility is required to meet customer demand.

**Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role**:

- Update plans as job references created on online systems.
- Schedule into excel planning spread sheet.
- Collate all information from live ref
- POs for procurement.
- Adjust job references according to weekly procurement meeting.
- Chase outstanding paper work from contracts managers and categorise paperwork.
- Update/check feedback from each factory process
- Hold a weekly balance meeting to source material to fulfil orders for re-planning.
- Investigate balances live as they occur
- Distribute picks to pickers/file for each process
- Present plans to contracts mangers at weekly meetings.
- Assist and implement updates and changes to the online planning system
- .and any other duties required to support the achievement of the Company’s objectives_

**Minimum Qualifications / Experience required**:

- Be highly analytical and numerate and be able to interpret and compare a range of information.
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A background in manufacturing would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of MS Office packages is desirable

**Additional skill requirements**:

- Must take a flexible approach, as this role will occasionally require additional hours and weekend work.
