**Conditions**:
This role covers staff working across multiple Primary Care Networks. Being able to travel is required to fulfil this role. An Enhanced DBS Check will be carried out.
**Scope of the job**
The purpose is:
To provide direct line management and leadership to the Active Monitoring Services.
To be a member of the operational leadership team.
To contribute to the operational Service Strategy, action plan and service development.
The post holder will champion Dorset Mind’s vision and mission by:
- Raising awareness within general and specific communities about mental ill health. Educating people about symptoms - what they are, what to expect and how to spot them. We also help people about what they can do when they experience symptoms or know someone who does.
- Challenging the stigma and inequality of mental ill health so that neither stigma nor inequality prevent people receiving information and support they need.
- Promoting the ethos of recovery from mental ill health by educating people about recovery
**Main Duties**:
Direct line management of a team of Active Monitoring Practitioners.
Provide 1:1 support session’s (operational supervision) and case management to Active Monitoring staff.
Lead and coordinate staff meetings, including general Active Monitoring team meetings, reflective practice, and allocation meetings.
Contribute to training and development of Active Monitoring staff.
To be part of the Operational Recovery Services leadership team to provide a well led and supportive service.
To be a point of contact and cover for the wider team of Active Monitoring and Triage practitioners in the instance of planned or unplanned absence within the team.
To co-ordinate successful and safe delivery of services in line with the Operational Recovery Service Strategy.
Build strong relationships with referring partners.
Build strong relationships with staff and volunteers to ensure they are confident about policies and procedures and are working within their competency and are sufficiently supported.
Have excellent communication with all stakeholders, including and especially Funding Commissioners.
To build and maintain positive and robust relationships with Dorset Mind and Health Centre staff.
Help Dorset Mind to develop and expand recovery services Dorset-wide.
Provide summary reports for funding partners and commissioners.
Communicate Dorset Mind Recovery Service development internally to staff, volunteers, and Trustees.
Promoting the Recovery Services and to encourage increased attendance.
Produce data and written reports required for monitoring, contract reviews and reporting.
Coordinate input and amend accurate service information on the Website.
To update the recruitment information on the website.
To be responsible for coordinating and booking meetings with service delivery manager and other professionals.
Ensure completion of satisfaction and other monitoring surveys.
To undergo, and actively participate in any training relevant to the role internally or externally.
To keep abreast of treatments, policy, legislation and local services relating to wellbeing
To promote the concepts of social inclusion, early intervention and recovery and ensure this underpins the direction of well-being activities.
Under the direction of the Services Manager research other services, service gaps, and local and national research as needed to inform service development.
To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level and nature of the post.
To comply with all decisions, policies and standing orders of the Board of Trustees and any legalisation, the Health and Safety at Work Act and Data Protection Act.
Abide by Dorset Mind’s safeguarding policies and procedures
Work within Dorset Mind’s Mission Statement and Ethos.
To promote the concept and ethos of positive wellbeing and early intervention methodologies.
Assist in networking and promoting Active Monitoring and other Dorset Mind services.
Participate in relevant activities that Dorset Mind and Primary Care Network are involved with (e.g. away days, team meetings, promotional events).
