As a Junior Product Manager for Payroll you'll work within a team to innovate our payroll offering and be at the forefront of legislation/compliance updates for our customers in multiple territories. You'll own product strategy, development and mobilisationto market of new and enhanced features in our award-winning solution, ResourceLink. Product management is often described as the intersection of customer needs, technology and business. In this role for your product area you'll: - Drive product strategy including product discovery and analysis and recommending the long-term roadmap for the product. - Support product engineering scrum teams for each release. - Drive product GTM ensuring that the best of Zellis is mobilised to get products to market and evangelising in the market for them. - Be a payroll legislation expert in your area of specialism. We believe that great software should have the same effect on the user as magic - it makes them ask the question, "how did they do that?". Our bar for the software we build is not just to be good but to create truly magical experiences, whilst also deliveringprecision and choice for our customers. As a Junior Product Manager you'll keep up-to-speed with legislative changes and be engaged in external government and customer forums to enable design of such solutions. You'll be very familiar with the functional needs of Zellis’ customers and Zellis’strategy in meeting those and can translate this into new product and feature solutions. Key responsibilities include: - **Product discovery**: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, our market positioning and Zellis’ overall strategy to develop and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap of solutions. - **Research**: Gather software requirements and associated ResourceLink functionality for payroll legislation. - **Product and partnership prioritisation**: Turn the product vision into action by recommending a backlog prioritisation of epics and partnerships validated by legislative change, customer insight and business case ROI. Work with engineeringto ensure strong user stories and acceptance criteria. - **Product development**: Act as product owner within the scrum team, inputting the government and customer voice and the intent of the epic to the development team. Input into product demos as the voice of the customer and collaborate withthe UX team to support development of modern, intuitive, consistent UI. Role model the use of Azure DevOps. - **Product go-to-market**: Work with the delivery manager and other Zellis functions (especially Sales, Marketing, Legal, Consultancy, Training, Comms, Managed Services, HR) in line with the Zellis repeatable release model to ensure successfulproduct release and adoption to initial customers and the market. - **Product support**: Support sales to strategic customers. Monitor product performance (e.g. NPS and usage) to identify opportunities for improvement to feed into the product backlog. **Skills and experince required** - A keen legislation expert in payroll compliance. - A strong leader for your area of the product with excellent negotiation skills to be part of a cross functional virtual team. - A role model for other colleagues to help guide as we strengthen and grow. - A self-starter and highly motivated, you take end-to-end responsibility for the completion of required work. - A passion for solving business and customer needs. - Strategic and structured thinking to develop and drive product strategy. - A creative force yourself, but equally you can facilitate a creative dialog and stimulate others to be creative drivers as well to identify new solutions to customers’ needs. - Ability to build strong relationships within Zellis, external forums and the customer community. - Persistent in bringing strong evidence, with clear communication and influence to mobilise Zellis to deliver great solutions to customer needs. - Bring a growth mindset to the team, challenging team members to move to best practice and being open to learning from others. - Smart and restlessly curious to learn new legislation, products, technology and business processes (with a solid understanding of these and the commercials of a software organisation). - Able to pivot from 30,000ft product strategy with senior leadership to 1,000ft product detail with a development team. - Experience with ResourceLink and/or other payroll and HR solutions highly desirable; CIPP qualification or equivalent also advantageous. **About Us** Zellis is the leading provider of payroll and HR solutions for the UK & Ireland.
