**Job Summary**

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to perform various cut and drill functions on structural steel beams, in a safe and accurate manner, producing materials to a standard of high quality.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**

The job holder must:

- Load commands ensuring correct tooling, speeds, and feeds are used for each operation.
- Select & load raw materials into the machine, ensuring alignment and fully secure.
- Prepare test sample to ensure machinery produces work according to specifications.
- Examine and measure finished product to ensure process has been completed according to specifications given.
- Complete inventory through regular stock checks, anticipating need with responsive ordering.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Monitor the machine during operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum results.
- Comply with company Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and safe working practices.
- Accurately complete production and quality logs.
- Complete regular checks and maintain machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Willingness to complete continuous professional development to stay up to date with latest technologies and techniques.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the requirements of the job.
