Our client a UK market leader in Malt production based in Inverness have a current vacancy to join their expanding team for a permanent Shift Operator on a fulltime basis.

**Summary of the role**:
Working within the plant having responsibility for the manufacturing of the Malt, plant hygiene, waste water treatment, malt and barley movements complying with site safety procedures at all times.

**Main duties will include (not limited to and will vary between shifts)**:

- Production of malt or barely drying as per instructions
- Transferring of grains
- Liaising with engineering staff and other site staff reporting any operational issues
- Monitoring of waste water
- Maintain cleanliness
- Completing and updating of records
- Weighbridge duties
- Laboratory analysis

This role will involve working 22 weeks of the year covering sickness/holidays, 22 weeks of the year working on day shift and the last 8 weeks working a mixture of day and night shifts during the harvest period.

**Skills & Attributes**:

- Be literate and numerate
- Able to follow instructions and specific procedures with a very good eye for detail
- Flexible with working times and varying shift patterns
- Be a motivated individual who likes problem solving
- Have a degree of computer literacy
- Physically fit and hold a full car license
