**Role**:
Reporting to the Category Manager, as Ingredients Buyer your main responsibilities will be to support the Category Manager in delivering a competitive advantage, developing an in depth understanding of the category, suppliers, drivers and markets to managecosts, identify opportunity and deliver change through supplier relationship management.
Other duties of the role as a Buyer will include but not limited to:
- Facilitate projects
- Negotiation of commercial terms and contractual arrangements
- Deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyse market forces and trends. Use market data to estimate and negotiate prices for purchased categories
- Consider external risks within supply chains and propose mitigation solutions
- Spend management - support the Category Manager in evaluating category expenditure and the creation of category plans
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Sourcing of new suppliers
- Monitoring of monthly KPI's for purchased categories and take appropriate internal or external actions to ensure delivery to the agreed standard
- Monitoring monthly variances for purchased categories and take appropriate actions to ensure delivery of the financial budgets
