**Accounts/Credit Control Assistant - Doncaster (DN8) - c£12 per hour - Quick start available**

Hours of work - 3 to 5 days Monday-Friday

(Some flexibility possible as to start and finish times each day as long as agreed hours are completed within the working week)

Our client is a family-run business providing insulation services across multiple sectors both locally and across the UK

Working within a small administrative and accounts support team duties will be varied as highlighted below;
Credit Control:

- Contact customers by telephone ensuring that accounts are both correct and passed for payment, then establish payments dates to ensure that accounts are paid on time and within agreed credit terms.
- Maintain accurate credit control communication notes on SAGE, discuss any problem accounts with the management team, and prepare Debtor Collection reports.
- Sending customer statements and chasing letters systematically as part of the monthly credit control cycle.
- Conduct periodic customer credit risk reviews to ensure that the set credit limits are both adequate and justifiable.

Sales Ledger:

- Posting of customer receipts to SAGE and taking online credit card payments.
- New accounts set-up - collate new customer information, including credit references and insurance documentation to ensure that accounts are opened correctly.

Purchase Ledger:

- Processing of a large volume of purchase invoices digitally on the Sage system ensuring that invoices are correct as per the purchase order, and accurately posted to the ledgers in a timely manner. Raise and follow through any discrepancies with the ordering department and/or the Supplier.
- Control the flow of digital purchase invoices from the processing departmental files through to the processed / storage files.
- Reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger, investigate any differences, and request copy documents to ensure that the purchase ledger is both accurate and complete.

**Required Skills**:

- Previous experience of working within a small account's team.
- Proven Credit Control experience with the tenacity to deal with persistent late-paying customers.
- A team player who communicates well with others.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Clear and concise communicator with a confident, polite telephone manner.
- Proactive, but with the ability to follow agreed company procedures.
- Experience with SAGE & MS Office
