London, United Kingdom Siemens Full time

Siemens Mobility does more than you know. You may associate us with trains or signalling systems. But, the advanced, AI powered transportation and mobility infrastructure we’re developing are actually a driving force for the future of smart cities - and an entirely digitalised world.

We blended traditional engineering with computer science long ago, and are leading the way in solutions that transform how people move. Green energy and decarbonisation is our goal, as is convenience and connecting with the individual - putting all the information relating to their journey in the palm of their hand.

We now have an opportunity for a Sustainability Advisor to join the central function. The role forms an integral part of the corporate Sustainability Team, reporting to the Sustainability Manager and supporting the vital sustainability goals of our business.

In this exciting role, you will champion, facilitate, and support the ongoing development and implementation of the corporate sustainability strategy across all areas of the business. You will also act as an experienced advisor and a critical friend to staff and management, collaborating with colleagues to deliver continual improvement in pursuit of excellence.

**The primary responsibility of your role will be to**:
Support the Sustainability Manager in the delivery of the corporate sustainability strategy and implementation of the DEGREE framework across environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics.

You'll provide advice, guidance and support to colleagues across the business on a range of sustainability topics including social value. You will support the management of sustainability tools and data and facilitate reporting as required. Your role develops and support ideas and proposals for sustainability initiatives, creates relevant documentation and supports the implementation of guidelines, management systems, strategic programmes, targets and important metrics.

**These responsibilities will be achieved through**:

- Cultivating positive and proactive working relationships around immediate and broader business.
- Championing sustainability within the business

**What skills, experience and attributes are important for this job?**
- Proven professional experience and/or relevant degree, diploma or equivalent in related sustainability field
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of sustainability in a commercial environment encompassing economic, environment and social dimensions - ideally with specialist knowledge in one related field and general knowledge of others
- Membership of a relevant professional organisation (eg: IEMA, CIWEM, IES, GACSO) and actively engaged in continuing professional development (CPD) activities
- Ideally experience in the construction, manufacturing or rail industries but this is not essential
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills

**What else do you need to know**

Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, holiday allowance and pension. We celebrate the fact that our employees are individuals and have different wants and needs. With this in mind, we have a flexible benefits scheme where you can tailor your benefits package to suit you.
