**Infrastructure Engineer**

**About us**

The Qualasept Pharmaxo Holdings Limited (QPHL) Group operates within the pharmaceutical aseptic compounding, clinical homecare and laboratory services sectors.
Qualasept Ltd t/a Bath ASU produces over 3,000 aseptically compounded injectable pharmaceutical products each day for hospitals and patients across the UK who are fighting cancer, living with chronic disease or in need of pain relief. Through our scientificand technology capabilities, the team continuously develops new and innovative methods to improve our products and services.

**Your role**
- Manage the IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are adequately patched and updated as required
- Read and implement all IT policies published by the IT Architect
- Proactively monitor infrastructure performance levels, taking remedial action prior to problem development
- Ensure adequate protection and management of data is maintained, manage system and data backups for the enterprise
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot IT systems, including desktop computing, telephony, servers, storage, and networking
- Under the direction of the IT Architect, deliver technology-based project work and infrastructure design, to quality and on-time
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for a designated set of technologies including cloud based systems, (such as AWS), and infrastructure, maintaining specialist knowledge of design, operation and troubleshooting
- Provide in-house IT training to other members of the IT team as required
- Participate in out of hours troubleshooting and resolution of major incidents
- Take part in disaster recovery planning
- Act as an escalation point for the 1st and 2nd Line support staff, providing a 3rd line fault resolution as required, liaise with external support providers in the resolution of faults as required
- Commitment to participate in any extended hours or Bank Holidays rotas to perform planned tasks
- Undertake any other related duties as required by senior IT staff and the Head of IT
- Establish good working relationships with customers, suppliers and other professionals

**Your duties & responsibilities**
- You will implement changes to the IT infrastructure
- You will manage, update and support the IT infrastructure
- You will maintain documentation pertaining to the IT infrastructure
- You will provide a 3rd line support service to IT services
- You will deliver IT work packages as part of wider project work

- You will have good analytical and fault-finding capabilities
- You will have the ability to plan and manage your own workload
- You will have deep technical knowledge in a limited set of technologies
- You will have a can do, customer focused attitude
