Community Neuro-Rehab Occupational Therapist, Band 7

**Location**: Manchester

**End Date**: 28/4/23

**Working Hours**: 8:30 - 16:30 / Mon - Fri / 37.5 Hours per week *minimum 3 days per week when considering PT hours*

**Pay Rate**: £21 - £24 *Direct Engagement (DE) Model and all workers submitted will be paid under this model*

The main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialized services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialized servicesincluding Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology Cancer, Pediatrics, Women's Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

**About the role**:

- Manage large & complex caseload of adults 17yrs + mixed caseload; stroke & rehab other neuro conditions, MSK, motor neuro, Parkinson's, traumatic brain injury
- Required to visit patients within their homes, increasing independence in ADL assessing & treating cognitive skills visual impartments, complex postural & equipment needs w access to vehicle & double Covid jab
- Able to interpret & undertake advanced clinical reasoning analysis from complex clinical & non-clinical info provided, make justifiable assessments, contribute to diagnosis & prognosis of patients & recommend best course of therapeutic intervention
- To utilize specific neuro therapeutic skills as required facilitating & optimizing the treatment of patients
- Able to communicate sensitively & effectively w patients & carers ensure understanding of conditions & gain informed consent
- To be responsible for the daily input of clinical data onto the IPM system in line with Trust Policy

**Skills Required**:

- Enhanced DBS & HCPC Registration required
- Utilize minimum of 2 years qualified neuro experience & clinical knowledge in practice
- Be HCPC registered
