**About the role**

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK are leading the search for a Warehouse Supervisor covering the Nightshift. The incumbent to this role will lead a team of warehouse operatives to ensure that all warehouse functions are completed efficiently and accurately within the agreed time scales. The role will be focused on ensuring every item of stock gets to its destination on time, and there are no shortages and resolving issues efficiently, accurately and quickly, making sure the correct resource is in place to ensure the operation functions properly with mínimal impact on the budget and key measures.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coach, train, manage the performance of warehouse operatives
- Continuously assess colleagues against identified performance criteria and address issues of performance and conduct within the branch
- Check for damaged or missing items and resolve
- Pick goods accurately and build pallets safely
- Place goods correctly into storage bays.
- Ensure that stock is stored to allow safe storage, lifting and lowering. Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
- Assist in loading vehicles, working with the drivers to ensure compliance with all legal requirements on vehicle loading and to ensure pallets are stacked safely.
- Keep records of stock and paperwork up to date, cross function communication
- Ensure the warehouse/yard is always kept clean and tidy, spillages promptly cleared, waste minimised
- Achieve targets and job standards set out by the Senior Management Team
- Discharge duties in a safe manner in accordance with relevant legislation and Bunzl EHS policies.
- Report hazards immediately and use all equipment provided in accordance with safe working practices
- Ensure all warehouse operatives complete their work on time, accurately and efficiently; investigate issues as and when required

**Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment at a Team Leader or Supervisory level
- Competent in Microsoft Office products, XL and Stock software programmes
- Proven ability to manage small teams
- A willingness to flex working hours as and when required
