**TRANSPORT PLANNER / HGV DRIVER COMBINED ROLE**

**We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner / HGV Driver to join our existing Transport team.**

Established in 1999, Midas Transport are a Haulage Company specialising in Horticulture distribution as well as refrigeration and curtain side work.

We are looking for a Transport Planner / Driver to join the logistics team based in Pinchbeck.

Shift Pattern Wednesday - Sunday which would include driving 2 - 3 days

Friday and Saturday would be Office Cover - Office hours will be 08:30 - 17:30 and you will be on call outside of these hours

The role will include:

- Routing 30+ trucks around the UK
- Booking and updating deliveries onto the internal systems
- Tracking drivers
- Ensuring deliveries are made on time
- Liaising with agencies
- Vehicle, trailer and yard checks
- Other duties as required within the remit of this role

Applicants will ideally have:

- Previous experience within a transport office
- Knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised and methodical
- A good knowledge of geographical locations across the UK
- Ability to working on own initiative while under pressure
- A good working knowledge of MS Excel

**HGV Class 1 license is Essential**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
