Are you a caring, energetic, and imaginative individual passionate about early childhood education? We're looking for an **Early Years Educator/ Nursery Practitioner** to join our dedicated team and make a lasting impact on the lives of our young children - reminding you of why you chose childcare. Wilburton is situated just outside of Ely.

**What you’ll do**:

- Greet children each day with a warm, kind smile that makes them feel loved and welcomed.
- Be always ready to build a fully functional space rocket from a kitchen roll tube, 2 elastic bands, and a handful of pipe cleaners.
- Share songs, stories, and creative activities that everyone will enjoy (being in tune is optional, but knowing _Frozen_ lyrics is a plus).
- Navigate a classroom that sometimes looks like a hurricane just hit—and do it with calm and grace.
- Multitask like a pro, reading stories, answering questions, and explaining how the world works (sometimes all at once).
- Encourage independence, even if it means waiting patiently while a child learns to zip up their jacket.
- Gently mediate the children’s disagreements over who has more pesto pasta and celebrate milestones, big or small—from mastering the alphabet to learning to share.
- Ideally, be able to correctly and immediately name and draw all species of dinosaur from Aardonyx to Zuniceratops.
- Flex those leg muscles—getting up and down from tiny chairs while keeping our space safe and engaging.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Ideally a Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent). But your passion is more important to us.
- Enthusiasm for working with young children and creating a nurturing, supportive environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a good sense of humour (you’ll need it for all those “why” questions).

- 40-hour working week (working over 4 or 5 days - you choose) + 2 hrs paid non-contact time.
- Competitive salary, paying the REAL LIVING WAGE. Based on experience and qualifications.
- Starting with the equivalent of 4 weeks paid holidays, rising to 5 weeks over 2 years. Plus the week between Christmas and New Year, Christmas Eve if it is a working week, bank holidays and a half-day holiday on your birthday (or closest working day to it).
- Discounted childcare, currently at £51 per day. We also take the new nursery funding.
- Half-day holiday on your birthday
