Here at Pico no 2 days will be the same You will contribute to the design of innovative test and measurement products. You will be working on faster and more efficient PC based oscilloscopes designs through to improve new and existing product range.

You will be working in a team, where everyone is happy to offer support and answer questions.

**Key tasks**
- Design and development of VHDL for FPGAs for hardware design.
- Creating specifications for interfaces between FPGA components, other devices, and the PC, including maintenance of specifications across other products as required.
- Verification and debugging of FPGA design including development of test benches, in
- system debugging, and testing integration with PC software.
- Selection of FPGAs for new designs, taking into account obsolescence, availability and cost.
- Perform design calculations/ simulations and prototype as required in order to estimate performance, reliability and the identification/ elimination of high risk areas ensuring high quality design requiring mínimal redesign
- Assist in transition into production (inc providing relevant assembly information).

Might be working on firmware/ software in support of NPD
**What will you need?**
- Experience of working in Multiple FPGA platforms
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog FPGA design
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools (ideally OrCAD/CADENCE tool set) and understands constraints
- Experience of PCB layout (ideally Cadence Allegro tools
