**JOB TITLE**:Export Sales Administrator
**RESPONSIBLE TO**:International Sales Manager
Abacus are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy office environment to work as a member of our Export Sales Team to provide day-to-day support serving our global markets. Dealing with all forms of customer communication, making certain the voice of the customer is always heard. To support our
Export Sales Team whilst they are in the field, enabling them to liaise with our customers effectively.
Always working in a positive and professional manner to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations.
**QUALITIES & ABILITIES**
The role will consist of, but not limited to the following tasks;
- Receiving, logging and processing customer enquiries.
- Preparing customer quotations in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with other departments, to gain lead time and price information to enable the customer quotation to be completed.
- Entering customer orders on to SAP system, ensuring that they are reviewed and authorised in line with company policy, prior to verification. (Within 24 hours of receipt)
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g. technical, financial, production), as appropriate, to check the order progress.
- Pro-actively communicate with customers and Sales Team on their order status’.
- From time to time communicating difficult news to customers when we have to make reappraisals of our initial delivery promise.
- Recognise issues that need to be raised to senior management and report this in a timely manner to their line manager.
- Other ad hoc activities to support the team and drive processes forward.
**PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFACTAIONS**
- Proficient in using ICT equipment and systems including Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of export processes and documentation.
- Must have the ability to work as part of the team and under own initiative as appropriate, within defined authority limits.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and key contacts at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate good time management skills and flexibility to meet the expectation of our customers.
**HOURS OF WORK**:
7:30AM - 4:15PM Monday to Thursday
7:30AM - 12:00PM Friday
= 37.5 hours per week
**Job Types**: Full Time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000 - £23,000 (DOE)
