Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for a Business Intelligence Team Lead to join our team The Business Intelligence Team Lead will be responsible for a team of around 6 systems specialists based in multiple locations. You will act as a mentor tothe team, providing them direction and encouraging their development. You will be the escalation point for internal queries and will work with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver high quality, robust solutions. Youshould also have full project lifecycle experience and be able to identify priorities across competing projects. Team management experience and experience of working within logistics/FMCG would also certainly be an advantage. If this sounds just what you're looking for in your next role, then you can find more detail in the job specification below. **Key Accountabilities**: - Full people management of the team. - Team mentoring, leadership and encouraging their development. - Providing an escalation path for the business for issues / queries. - Managing the allocation, prioritisation and progression of tasks. - Ensure that Incident support / "Business as usual" / CIP activities are managed alongside project tasks - Utilising Service Desk systems to maintain SLA’s. - Working with 3rd Party suppliers to align resources necessary to facilitate projects - Providing a high level of customer service. - Liaising with business stakeholders and IT Leadership Team to provide updates on projects and issues. - Ensuring team adherence to Group IT policies and procedures. - Work with the PMO Team to align appropriate BI Team resource availability in-line with projected business implementation timescales - Facilitate the creation and maintenance of support documentation to enable efficient handover of new technical components to support functions, including training where required. **Qualifications** **Knowledge & Experience**: - Excellent communication skills essential as is the ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders. - Team management experience - Self-start attitude and positive approach to work, able to lead by example - Ability to problem solve - think actively and then act with autonomy - Identify priorities across competing projects and organise resources to continually meet deadlines - Experience of logistics / FMCG industry desirable but not essential - Appreciation of project management processes, prior experience of full project lifecycle - Experience of using Azure DevOps for process management an advantage - Knowledge of Data warehousing / Business Intelligence solutions - Microsoft SQL Server and associated tool-set - T-SQL / SSIS / SSRS / SSAS - Report creation and knowledge/experience of using reporting tools - Crystal / SSRS **Additional Information** What you get in return: - Competitive basic salary - 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays - Bonus - Private health care - Life assurance - Pension scheme - Retail discounts This is a fantastic opportunity to join a personable and growing business with plenty of opportunities for development.
