Scientist - Molecular Biology
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company, who provide research, analysis, and consultancy services to the pharmaceutical and healthcare a sector.
This is a laboratory-based position in which you will be responsible for microbiology and assay testing services with particular focuses on tissue cell culture, immunological assays using ELISA and gene expression via PCR

The Role:

- Setting up/maintaining bacterial and fungal cultures.
- Preparation of reagents and media e.g. selective/non-selective agar media and broths.
- Conducting microbiology and assay testing with particular focuses on tissue cell culture, immunological assays using ELISA and gene expression via PCR
- Upholding our quality standards by ensuring full compliance with procedures and instructions and striving for excellence
- Maintaining a high standard in service delivery facilities e.g. cleaning, stock taking, routine equipment maintenance.
- A BSc or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry or related sciences
- Previous experience of working in a lab-based environment would be beneficial
- Experience and knowledge of aseptic technique is essential
- Experience of working with bacterial cultures is desirable
- Experience of ELISA or PCR would be advantageous
