As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support of the people within the service including (but not limited to) helping with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, assistance with medication and assistance with attending routine appointments. Each and every person we support is unique so we encourage our teams to get creative, promoting each individuals independence, choice and dignity whilst still having plenty of fun along the way. We strive to promote our service users’ independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life, supporting & encouraging the development of their personal skills through hobbies and interests.
**About the Company**
Accomplish Group and their supported living services provide person-centred support to people with highly challenging Learning Disabilities in a homely environment within the heart of the local community. We encourage the people we support to be involvement in every aspect of their life. Through planned interventions and mentoring we enable skill development. Our Active Support Model is outcomes focused and allows for monitoring of progress towards maximised participation.
**About the Training**
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard and an accredited TQUK Diploma in Care qualification.
**About You**
Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however what you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
What’s more important to us is that you’re excellent at communicating with people, you have a good team spirit, you’ll have thoroughness, attention to detail, remain calm in stressful situations and you are able to take the initiative.
**Additional Information**
Working hours depend on the setting, but will be between 35 - 46 hours per week (shifts TBC), with some sleep-ins, weekends and/or 12 hour shifts required. Example of shift patterns: 7am - 2.30pm, 8am - 3pm, 2.30pm - 10.30pm, 3pm - 11pm.
Hourly wage depends on the setting and hours being worked, but range from £8.91 - £10.98.
