We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of **Senior Care Worker** to join our amazing team here at **Milewood Care** based at our **York Sutherland House**location.

**Location**:We can accommodate 7 Service Users in self contained flats which boast integrated appliances, fully equipped shower rooms and a communal garden.

**Pay**: We pay excellent hourly rates of **£12.50** per hour.

**Additional pay benefits**:

- We pay enhanced Bank Holiday pay at Xmas and New Year.
- We are soon to rollout an early pay system to allow staff to access elements of pay earlier.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To support in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence
- To help in the care of the service users’ physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home
- To take accountability and responsibility for acting upon concerns, with the named individual(s,) to the appropriate level.
- To be knowledgeable regarding all service users needs and wants, adhering to the care plan in place

**Qualifications and about you**:

- Be able to engage with residents, families and continuously develop care plans
- Be resilient, attentive and ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, while receiving the care they deserve
- Be reliable, friendly and caring to ensure residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
- Be able to support with inhouse activities
- Provide support that enables the service user to live as independently as possible
- Proven experience in supervising and leading a team in a care setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff
