We’re based across England, and our responsibilities span industry regulation, flood defences, land contamination, water quality, fisheries and conservation.

As a confident negotiator, you’ll represent our interests with a broad customer and client base. With an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and best practice, you’ll provide strong technical guidance and support to other members of your team. We’ll also support you to develop both personally and professionally.

Responding to incidents is an important part of what we do, and with this in mind you’ll have an incident role and should be ready to make yourself available to respond or provide business continuity support.- The team- The Estates Team sits within the larger Corporate & National Services directorate. The Estates service extends to 130 people, offering professional support for Environment Agency land, property, compensation and valuation matters. We are core to the delivery of the Agency's £5.2 billion capital programme to better protect 336,000 homes.- Experience/skills required- Please read the Additional Information pack for the full essential and desirable criteria required for this role. Below states the qualifications/memberships and experience required:

- You will hold one of the following qualifications/memberships:

- you'll be a fellow of the CAAV (FAAV)
- full and valid driving licence
- experience of estate management, acquisition and disposal work in the urban and/or rural environment and experience within land rights acquisition
- be able to demonstrate that you can draw on your knowledge and experience to advise on a range of property matter and projects
- Contact and additional information- Please note, your work location is flexible, but you will be required to travel across the south-east of the country to carry out surveying work, this may include overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is essential to travel to these sites and offices across our hubs, some of which are inaccessible by public transport. You'll be provided with a vehicle to carry out this work if required.

You’ll need to attend a hub office (Peterborough or Worthing) for events like induction, training, team meetings etc. Outside these, you can use hybrid working arrangements and our flexible working policy.

Interviews are expected to take place via MS Teams on 25/26 February 2025.- Competence 1- Achieves Results- Description- Sets and delivers high work standards and demonstrates the drive to meet delivery targets. Prioritises and organises tasks and resources to ensure timely achievement of results.

This role will include involvement in delivering our programme of Flood Risk capital projects.
