**Salary: £20,535 per annum plus enhancements**
**Location: Northampton**

**About Fairbairn**:
The UK largest Medium Secure for Deaf men aged between 18 and 65 years old. Fairbairn is a 15 bed ward which manages D/deaf or hearing impaired (profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) patients with complex mental illness in a sensitive environment.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants on Fairbairn which is a medium secure service which cares for male D/deaf patients with complex mental health problems who present risk of harm to others. The ward accepts patients with a range of diagnosis including mental health illness, learning disability, brain injury, autism spectrum disorder and personality disorder.

Fairbairn Ward has links to a Northampton based 24 hour supported accommodation who have been discharged to the community, this role has the opportunity to be involved in this service as well as Fairbairn Ward.

**About you**:

- You may be D/deaf yourself or BSL Trained
- Strong team player
- Build and maintain relationships across clinical teams
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop rapport with patients
- Highly resilient
- Good problem solving skills
