Mother Helpage UK is a leading charity committed to supporting vulnerable communities both locally and globally. Our work focuses on providing access to education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and emergency relief. Based in Derby, we are now looking for a dedicated and experienced fundraiser to support and fundraise during our seasonal campaigns.

**Job Role**:
We are looking for a face to face Fundraising Officer to recruit, steward and develop relationships with individuals, groups and businesses who support the charity in their local community, aiming to give them the best supporter experience possible.

With experience of developing and delivering excellent stewardship journeys to supporters you will have an ability to communicate with different audiences. You will have a passion for fundraising, be a self-starter and will bring a proactive approach to your work which enables our team to be as efficient as possible. You will have experience of building excellent working relationships in a voluntary or commercial/sales environment and of delivering outstanding and bespoke customer service and support. You will be an excellent communicator, with experience of office administration and the ability to improve systems and processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with the team to identify and book fundraising opportunities, build relationships with external contacts and create new F2F Fundraising opportunities at venues for private site fundraising from Garden centres, festivals, exhibitions to shopping centres and any new creative opportunities.
- To support the Fundraising Team during peak campaign periods such as Ramadan.
- To undertake the responsibility of fundraising initiatives including events, collections, activities and mini campaigns
- To follow daily tasks set by the line manager to support and fulfil the teams work plan
- Liaison with local communities and stakeholders to promote awareness of the charity.
- Ability to work to set KPIs and fundraising targets.

**Essential Attributes**
- Experience of working in a similar role or similar customer focused environment
- Demonstrates experience of, and commitment to, delivering an effective service in support of the organisation’s aims and objectives
- Proven experience of successfully working under pressure, with multiple demands and in a busy environment
- To operate within Charity Law and the General Data Protection legislation and adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Codes of Practice
- Willingness to work flexibly in approach to work and to travel and work outside normal office hours (including unsocial hours and weekends)
- Current and full UK driving licence
- Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community
- Well-developed ability to organise events/activities, to agreed deadlines often with conflicting priorities
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team, providing support as required, and build and maintain effective working relationships
- High standard of numeracy skills in accurately entering and recording financial data and other general calculations and working within defined procedures and regulations
- Good communication skills - speaking, presenting, writing and listening
- Ability to represent Mother Helpage in a wide range of situations
- The ability to work accurately under pressure and pay attention to detail
- Familiarity with social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
- Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of the organisation.
- Ability to deal with confidential information sensitively and appropriately
- **Desirable**:

- Experience of working within INGOs or charity sector
- Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- Flexitime
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
