Environmental Coordinator

Mott Macdonald Bentley Construction (MMBC) is the design and build unit of global engineering consultancy Mott Macdonald. We are looking for a talented environmental coordinator to join our growing team. Your role will be to work collaboratively with designers to coordinate and manage environmental risks across multiple projects.
- You will:

- Provide advice and support in the management of project-specific environmental risks.
- Coordinate environmental inputs and oversee the delivery of specialist reporting (ecology, heritage, contaminated land, permits, planning, etc).
- Support designers complete EIA screening assessments, site waste management plans, and environmental management plans.
- Support the production of the sustainability workbook and bio-diversity calculator.
- Positively engage with Thames Water regarding environmental and consenting matters, develop relationships and enhance our reputation.
- Sufficient understanding of environmental disciplines to identify risks in the following areas ecology, archaeology, drainage, geotechnical, contaminated land, landscape, and noise.
- Must have experience working directly for a Contractor.
- Understanding and experience of the planning process (preferably the water sector).
- Organised and able to prioritise workload.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
- Willing to spend time and effort to help others to increase technical knowledge.
- Record of delivering environmental inputs to programme, budget and quality requirements.
